To better assist you we have
answered a number of questions below related to insurance,
repair, and other matters. We hope you will find these answers
beneficial.
Can I take my vehicle to Neshaminy
Collision? (top)
Yes. The choice is yours. Your
insurance company cannot require you to have your vehicle repaired
at a specific repair shop. Your policy will cover the cost
of repairing your vehicle to its pre-accident condition no
matter where you have repairs made. Neshaminy Collision
works with all insurance companies to return your vehicle to
pre-accident condition. We back this
with our warranty for the lifetime that you own the vehicle.
Must I obtain more than one estimate? (top)
Your insurance company may require more than one estimate
before settling your claim. Multiple estimates help insurers
determine the extent of your loss and prevent fraudulent claims.
You are doing them a favor by doing so. However, your
insurance company cannot require unreasonable travel for you
to obtain an estimate. If you have an initial insurance estimate, Neshaminy Collision
will begin repairs on your vehicle and, if necessary, work
directly with the insurance company on your behalf for any
supplemental repair costs due to hidden damage. Note: An
Insurance company estimate is just that, an estimate. They
are well aware that hidden damage may exist once repairs begin. They
will pay the customer or the shop directly for any additional
damages found caused by the accident.
How long will the estimate take? (top)
Allow approximately 5-10 minutes for us to inspect your car
and write an estimate.
My vehicle was hit by another
car and it’s not may fault,
what are my options? (top)
There are two ways to handle the situation. Your individual
circumstances should determine which option is best for you:
You can allow Neshaminy Collision
to help guide you through the third
party claims process or through the other parties insurance
company. We do this on a daily basis and it would be
our pleasure to assist you. If successful, the need for
all or part of your deductible and rental expense would be
eliminated.
Or you can allow Neshaminy Collision to work directly with
your insurance company to file and process the claim for you
promptly and efficiently. Most times your deductible
is reimbursed by your insurer upon successful recovery from
the other company whose insured was proven to be at fault.
Whatever avenue you decide, we will help you each
step of the way.
My insurance company wants me to bring my vehicle to their
claims center for an appraisal. Do I have to do this? (top)
You may want to do them a favor, or you may leave your car
at our shop and request that they inspect it here.
How can I know my insurance company will be fair? (top)
The insurance company is required to return your vehicle to
the condition it was in before it was damaged. This
is where it’s good to know Neshaminy Collision! You
are the customer and we make sure of it. It is not uncommon
for Neshaminy Collision's estimate to vary from an insurer’s
estimate. The design of newer
model vehicles often makes it difficult to see all the damage
upon first inspection, and most insurance company adjusters
include only visible damage in their estimates. Upon disassembly
of your vehicles damaged components, Neshaminy Collision will
conduct a complete and thorough damage analysis. In the event
additional damage is discovered, we will notify the insurance
company and handle the necessary authorization and payments.
Once my insurance company issues a check am I responsible
for any additional charges? (top)
Any estimate is just that - an estimate. An appraiser can
only report that damage which is visible. When additional damage
becomes evident as the repair progresses, your vehicle will
be reappraised and a supplemental payment will be issued. In
fact, most collision repairs require at least one supplement
to the original estimate.
Do I have the right to a rental vehicle? (top)
If you have purchased rental car coverage, you can file a
claim with your own insurance company who will directly bill
with our rental company. Generally, you are entitled to a vehicle
comparable to your own. However, in the case of certain high-value,
high-cost vehicles, you may have to demonstrate your need for
a specific replacement vehicle. If it is determined that
another driver was liable for the accident, you have the rights
to a rental vehicle through the other driver’s insurance
company.
What if my vehicle has frame damage, can it still be repaired? (top)
Yes. We have experienced
technicians and state of the art equipment required to straighten
and/or replace your vehicle’s frame to be sure that
it’s
back to factory specifications.
Will the new paint match my existing paint? (top)
We have a state-of-the-art spray booth with a computerized
mixing system and high quality paint technicians in order to
ensure the process of providing you a new finish to your vehicle.
The Accu-Draft spray booth is fully heated, insulated, and
environmentally safe. It is so efficient that you can spray
a complete car, bake it, and in one hour put it outside.
Now that my vehicle has been in an accident, will it ever be
the same? (top)
A collision brings about many changes to an auto. It is the role of the collision
repair technician to restore the safety, function and appearance of your car
to pre-accident condition. Using the latest in repair technology and original
parts, your car is structurally rebuilt to its factory dimensions and tolerances. |
